Feature: Karen Blanchard

I decided to ask the incredible Karen from Karen-wheredidyougetthat a few questions about herself...

She´s definitely in my top 3 when it comes to blogger style + she is  queen of vintage finds.

Miss most about living in London:

Good question! I miss friends of course but I also miss certain things about London I can't get here like the British magazines that always have a freebie product attached. In NY the shops,  remove the freebies before selling them.  I also miss the street markets like Camden Town, Portobello Road and Roman Road. Just my little fave spots to get great bargains and vintage.

Music:

I'm not into one particular band. Just a genre. So right now its a lot of rock.

What I love most about living in New York:

I love how similar it is in alot of ways to New York in terms of so much to do. e.g. loads of great restaurants at all price points, great shopping, people watching, NY fashion week. I also get a kick out of seeing celebs here. In London I never saw any! Its great too seeing movie trailers and crews pop up in the city every now and then shooting the next fim that you know you'll see on screen in a year. It all feels so glam.

Who are my favorite designers?:

I don't actually have one because there's so many designs that I like across many.

Favorite food/drink:

 Ack! now you got me!! I LOVE warm desserts like apple pie and ice cream although I only really like the one I make (I've been told several times by different people that I should sell it!). I also love going to my fave British owned cafe in the West Village because they have my favourite dessert: sticky toffee pudding with custard!!

Favorite movies:

Style wise I have always loved how Kate Hudson looked in Almost Famous.  I would love to look like that every day.

Favorite books/magazine:

My fave magazine is probably Elle and Marie Claire UK. Overall, I prefer the British magazines because I find their editorial more interesting and the photography and styling is more experimental compared to their US counterparts.  Plus they have less ads!
